Abstract

Skincare products containing natural ingredients are increasingly used, but community knowledge and practical skills in formulating cosmetic preparations appropriately remain limited. This community service activity aimed to improve the knowledge and practical skills of PKK cadres in Triyagan Village, Sukoharjo, in formulating a serum containing Centella asiatica extract and to introduce its potential for household-scale entrepreneurship. The activity was conducted on 21 January 2026 at Triyagan Village RT 03 RW 01, Mojolaban District, Sukoharjo Regency, involving 15 PKK cadres. The training consisted of education, demonstration, hands-on practice, discussion, and product handover. Evaluation was conducted using a post-test and observation of practical skills. Training success was expressed as the percentage of participants who achieved the predetermined competency criteria, calculated from the  assessment sheet. The results of the antioxidant serum formulation training conducted with the participants were categorized as good, with an average success rate of 86.7%. The activity therefore provided an initial platform for transferring formulation skills and introducing the potential development of natural cosmetic products as a household-scale business. Further quality, stability, microbiological, safety, and regulatory evaluation is required before the product can be considered for commercialization.
