In recent years, coastal zones in Bone Regency, South Sulawesi, have been degraded due to anthropogenic activities such as mangrove clearing, land conversion for aquaculture, and coastal infrastructure development. To address this issue, the Politeknik Kelautan dan Perikanan Bone in collaboration with Lembaga Survey Nypah Indonesia conducted a community service activity titled “Mangrove Rehabilitation Action: Growing Hope from the Coastline”. The activity was held on November 8th, 2025, in Tabu Hamlet, Waetuwo Village, Tanete Riattang Timur Sub-district, Bone Regency. Its objectives were to restore the mangrove ecosystem, raise community awareness of environmental conservation, and foster collaboration between vocational education institutions, environmental organizations, and local communities. A total of 100 participants—including students, lecturers, and residents—planted 2,000 seedlings of Rhizophora mucronata and Avicennia marina. The activity improved participants’ understanding of mangrove ecology, strengthened community-academic collaboration, and initiated plans for an eco-education area. This program serves as a participatory model for sustainable coastal ecosystem restoration.
Muchtar Amiluddin, Mohammad Roin Najih, Anisa Aulia Sabilah, Irwan, Yasser Arafat, Yakub Suleman, Ismail, Hawati, Khairul Jamil, Awaluddin, Deni Sarianto, Lalu Penta Febri Suryadi Copyright (c) 2026 Majalah Pengabdian Indonesia https://ejurnal.teraskampus.id/index.php/maindo/article/view/558 Sat, 09 May 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Community Service Through Science Practicum Guidance for SD IT Insantama Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi at the Integrated Laboratory Unit, Halu Oleo University https://ejurnal.teraskampus.id/index.php/maindo/article/view/560
A magnet practicum mentoring activity for fifth-grade students of SD IT Insantama Kendari was conducted on 29 October 2025 at the Integrated Laboratory Unit of Halu Oleo University. The program was initiated to provide hands-on science learning in response to the school’s lack of laboratory facilities, which limits opportunities for practical experimentation. Eighteen students participated in three structured activities: identifying types of magnets, assembling a simple electric motor, and observing a flying ring demonstration. Learning was facilitated through demonstrations, guided discussions, and student-led experiments. The activity resulted in notable improvements in students’ conceptual understanding of magnetism, motivation to learn, and engagement during experimental tasks. The outcomes indicate that laboratory-based practicum activities significantly enhance meaningful science learning and contribute to strengthening scientific literacy among elementary students. Continued collaboration between schools and universities is recommended to ensure the sustainability of similar programs.
Sapto Raharjo, Lina Lestari Lestari, Muhamad Alim Marhadi , Yacobus Yulianto Dalanga, Sarman, Muhammad Arohman , Apriansa Copyright (c) 2026 Majalah Pengabdian Indonesia https://ejurnal.teraskampus.id/index.php/maindo/article/view/560 Sat, 09 May 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Community Service Through Beef Cattle Management Education at PT. Hasanuddin Agrivisi Internusa as an Effort to Improve the Knowledge of Local Breeders https://ejurnal.teraskampus.id/index.php/maindo/article/view/566
This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge and technical skills of local farmers and university students regarding beef cattle management through education and field practice at PT. Hasanuddin Agrivisi Internusa. The three-day program, conducted through outreach, field demonstrations, and group discussions, focused on feed management, barn sanitation, and disease prevention in beef cattle. Results demonstrated an increase in participants' understanding and skills in nutritional management, balanced feed formulation, routine barn sanitation, and preventive health measures such as deworming. Field evaluations demonstrated increased awareness and responsibility in livestock management. This program significantly contributed to increasing the productivity of beef cattle and strengthened collaboration between universities, industry, and the community in developing sustainable livestock agribusiness.
Raihan; Marlina; La Ode M.
